The Institute provides a range of technology and R&D based services and consultancy.

SIDENOR I+D, Spain

SIDENOR I+D is the research and development centre of SIDENOR. It has a manpower of 46 persons (87% of them are PhD and engineers) working in 2 departments: Process and Product. It has its own Research Laboratory, which is equipped with modern test facilities both for metallurgical characterization as for physical simulation. It also has capabilities for numerical simulation through the use of both commercial (FEM, etc.) as well as its own developed software.

SWERIM is a member of the Swerea Group and a prominent Metallurgical Research Institute in Europe. SWERIM creates, improves and conveys research results within the areas of process metallurgy, heating, machining, and energy technologies for the mineral, steel and metal industries. SWERIM has 90 employees (55 research engineers).
